SAP - Satisfactory Academic Progress

What are the necessary information for Satisfactory Academic Progress?

SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress)

Satisfactory academic progress is required by the Department of Education to receive financial aid.

SAP is based on three factors:

  1. Your grade point average (must be at least a 2.0)
  2. Your pace of progression (how long it takes you to complete your coursework within a maximum time frame)
  3. You must complete at least 67% of the units you attempt each semester and not exceed 90 units overall

To improve your academic standing you will need to attempt and complete courses with a final grade that meets or exceeds a minimum 2.0 GPA and complete enough units each semester.

SAP declined means that you are on a warning period.
SAP denied means that you are unable to receive financial aid at this time. [However,  you may continue to receive the California College Promise Grant (CCPG).]
