What are the different Grant Options?

There are different processes for applying for different grants. When you submit your FAFSA or Dream Act application and GPA verification form, you are automatically submitted to see if you qualify for a number of federal and state grants. You will receive a notification letter directly if you have been awarded one of these grants. However, there are also other grants for which you need to apply directly. The best way to find out your options is to read through the below pages, as well as contact the Office of Financial Aid.

There are several Federal grant options described at (http://www.compton.edu/studentservices/financialaid/federal-aid-programs.aspx) including The Federal Pell Grant Program and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Program (SEOG).

For the state grant options, such as Cal Grant, the Student Success Completion Grant (SSC), Chafee Grant (for former foster youth), California College Promise Grant (CCPG) and more,  visit: http://www.compton.edu/studentservices/financialaid/state-aid-programs.aspx

Compton College also offers the CARES grant for students whose enrollment has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information about the Compton CARES grant, visit: http://compton.edu/studentservices/financialaid/Compton_College_CARES_Grant_Program.aspx
