What are the application requirements?

Application Requirements

  • Active email account, which will be used to sign up to OpenCCC.
  • Transcripts from past schools you have attended.
  • Anyone 18 years or older may apply to Compton College. If under 18, you will still qualify if you graduated high school or passed the California High School Certificate or Proficiency Test.
    • All applicants  are required to complete their application and all the Steps to Enrollment prior to registering for classes at Compton College. For more information, visit www.compton.edu/steps/admission.aspx

Compton College offers application workshops that will give you step-by-step assistance to complete the online Admissions Application and the Oliver W. Conner College Promise Program (if applicable).

Applicants are asked to submit the following:

  • A completed admissions application
  • If applicable, official transcripts from all accredited colleges and trade schools attended must be submitted by those schools to the Records Office (Building A). Students applying for Advanced Placement credit must submit official high school transcripts.
  • Proof of residency
  • Tax information (if applying for financial aid)

Upon completion of your online application, you will receive an email from the Admissions & Records Office with your Compton College student ID number. Students must activate their account using instructions provided in the email.
